INTRODUCTION
Every year thousands of children die in Sindh before reaching the age of five years, thousands of others live on with ill-health, disablement or poor growth.
In this context the role of Press and journalists becomes exteremly relevant and cruicial.
In July 1991 about 26 journalists of from Sindh Province of Pakistan gathered in Jamshoro at six day training workshop conducted by Mass Communication Department of Sindh University Jamshoro with collaboration of United Nation’s Children Fund (UNICEF) and Press Institute of Pakistan (PIP) and They resolved to constitute SINDH JOURNALISTS NETWORK FOR CHILDREN (SJN).
NEWS LETTER
SJN published a news letter in Sindhi and english language to dessiminate information.
SJN conducted hundreds of Training workshops, Seminars, Surveys, for all stek holders of communities,

OBJECTIVES:
- To work for child rights in Sindh Pakistan
- To work for women rights in Sindh Pakistan
- To promote and struggle for CRC and Child Survival, Protection and Development.
- To enhance to concept of CHILD FIRST.
- To publish and circulate literature to mobilize community in the interests of children and mothers.
- To arrenge and organize training workshops and Seminars for journalists.
- To work for Juvenile Justice in Sindh.
- To work to stop Honor Killings(Karo-Kari).
